Graham our workshop assistant has had to move out of his usual workshop this week.

The lengths of steel box bar he has had to cut were too long to fit into his area and so he has had to temporarily install the chop saw in the main production area, after assessing and writing risk assessments, of course.

He is cutting the bar to make a custom test rig for a customer’s new product prototype.

As with all our testing, each rig is designed and made to ensure the product is tested to the correct specification, either for the customer’s requirements, national or international standards or, in this case, to new standards.

Testing for this product is due to start next week and we hope to be able to use it to drop 325 kilo dead weights onto the prototype product.
