New Opening Hours
Since May we have been trialling a four-day working week. The rationale for the longer weekend was both social and environmental. We have seen improvements in staff well-being and work/life balance, and in the impact of our carbon footprint through reduced commuting and reduced energy use and will continue to do so as the global energy situation becomes more critical over the coming months.
As a result of staff feedback, we have made this change permanent.
The MarchantCain opening hours are now Monday to Thursday 07.00 to 17.30.
The automotive industry in Coventry has traditionally worked a 4.5-day week, finishing at lunchtime on Friday and so the transition has not had a massive impact.
Our policy is always to ensure that customers’ needs are met and if there is an urgent need for staff to be contactable or available on Fridays this will be facilitated, with customers also having mobile phone numbers of senior staff members. If projects are at a critical stage, then customers will always have engineering or project management support no matter which day it is needed.

Christmas 2022 Working
MarchantCain will close for the Christmas festivities at 17.00 on Thursday 22 December 2022 and reopen at 07.00 on Tuesday 3 January 2023. We wish all our customers and colleagues a happy and peaceful Christmas and look forward to a prosperous New Year.
