Achieving the automotive IATF16949 standard a couple of years ago was a big deal for MarchantCain; it meant that we could swim in a bigger pool, with bigger opportunities. It also meant that we had to have a rigorous internal auditing schedule. This was severely impacted when three of our previous auditors moved on to other things. Thankfully, our QA engineer had everything in hand and we soon had some new recruits going through the training course run by Quality Partner. In a company of 20 people we all have to be able to turn our hand to many things but to have 7 of those 20 as internal auditors means we should be on the right track for some time to come. Thanks to Sandy Jackson for arranging, Paul Hardiman and Dawn Banner for designing and delivering the course and my fellow trainees for making it so interesting and fun (yes, auditor training can be fun. Who knew?)
